Women and Children’s Rights and Empowerment Foundation hereinafter referred to as WCREF, is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious, organization actively engaged in issues of women and children’s rights and empowerment in and out of Nigeria.

Having analyzed the state at which women and children are being treated and viewed in the country, lacking basic access to justice and fundamental rights, cruel cultural practices, discrimination, gender based violence, early marriage, street begging\child labour, unfair treatment of the girl child, genital mutilation, child trafficking, prostitution and the like.

We find it imperative as our ethical, social and religious responsibility therefore to eradicate, curtail and chart a new societal value against these unfortunate vices so as to ensure quality value to the lives of women and children in Nigeria, through the available laws enshrined in our constitution and other legal and international instruments.
